Our curriculum is carefully designed to reflect a spiral approach to learning. In other words, concepts and skills are introduced in the earliest grades and built upon methodically through the grades. The result is a very comprehensive and re-enforcing exposure to skills, concepts and content. In the earliest grades, a strong focus is on teaching students to learn to read. Grade 3 marks the transition year, where students are taught to read to learn. In grade 4, the curriculum content expands considerably and great emphasis is placed on additional subjects such as Science and Social Studies. The teachers are engaged in ongoing professional development to ensure consistency and the sharing of new and innovative ideas. The tightly coupled curriculum offers our students a comprehensive, well-rounded, solid academic experience.
