| Saint Joseph Parish is blessed to be a strong community of “doers.” Parishioners are actively involved in our Ministries to support the Liturgy, be of service to others within our Parish community, and address social justice issues. A Parish ultimately exists to help us deepen our friendship with the Lord through Mass and the sacraments and then to extend this charity to one another. Pope Benedict XVI in his encyclical Deus Caritas Est (God is love) 2005 says: “Love of neighbor, grounded in the love of God, is first and foremost a responsibility for each individual member of the faithful, and is also a responsibility for the entire ecclesial community at every level: from the local community to the particular Church and to the Church universal in its entirety.” As a Parish, we are linked to the universal Church. When we live our faith and have a strong Catholic presence, then Christ is even more visible among us. When we practice charity toward each other, then we serve our brothers and sisters and honor Christ with open hearts. This is our faith, which allows us to seek the Lord and His Kingdom. Please join us in becoming an active member of our Parish community! There are many opportunities for involvement which are outlined in the Ministries and Organizations sections of this web site. We are sure you will find something that matches your talents and areas of interests. |
