Working Together, Even While Apart
At St. Joseph School in Needham - Preschool to Grade 8 - students jumped right into distance learning this spring with the help from our amazing team of teachers and staff. In June, we wrapped up the school year having spent nearly 60 days in Zoom classes, advancing the curriculum, offering "after school" clubs, thinking of new and innovative programs and virtual field trips, and building, engineering, creating, drawing, singing, and dancing at home. We know this journey has not been easy, but the St. Joe's community truly showed that we are "in this together."
Looking ahead to the learning environment for the Fall, we plan to be back in the classrooms with proper safety protocols and plans in place. We will be prepared to offer an engaging and strong academic curriculum, inclusive and safe learning environment, and innovative programs. If we do need to move to a hybrid approach or virtual learning again, we will have the technology in place and our faculty will be ready to help our students with this transition and their learning.
