"Dear God, throughout this Lenten season I would like to pray for everyone to try their hardest to keep their Lenten promises. Also, I would like to pray for everyone to be honest to God about their sins when we go to Penance to confess our sins. Lastly, I would like to pray for those who have had a tough winter, that the spring will bring them back to health, warmth, and peace. In your name we pray. Amen."

~ Riley, Grade 3 ~

Dear Parents,

You know it is busy at school when you receive two newsletters in one week. It is hard to believe that this is the first newsletter about April, but as usual, it will be another month full of activities.

When I was at Mass this weekend the priest reminded us that we live in a world full of noise and during the Lenten season we should take the time to be silent and reflective. I plan to try and carve out time this week to do that and encourage you to do that as well.

Thanks to the Crafty Fair entrepreneurs, we will be donating $682.00 to the Needham Food Pantry. This is half of the profits that the students raised selling their wares. The students were delighted going home with their half of the profits as well!

We look forward to the Latin Bee on Wednesday, April 3rd. There will be two representatives in each class from grades 2-5. If you child is a finalist in the Latin Bee, you are welcome to join us at 1:45 p.m. in the gym.
