The science curriculum offers a course of study that brings the worlds of Earth Science, Life and Physical science to our students. It is an exciting curriculum, and units covered are foundational for advanced study.

The material in each course is presented to the student in a variety of ways - lecture and notes, hands-on experience and experiments in the lab, including dissections, essay writing, learning centers, investigative reports, and long-term projects. The scientific method using a weekly laboratory notebook is utilized.

Grade six

Earth Science brings the planet Earth and the universe alive for our grade six students. They study oceanography, meteorology, geology and astronomy.

Grade seven

Life Science challenges the seventh grade students to learn many of life's processes and how we fit into the world that surrounds us.

Grade eight

Physical Science teaches our grade eight students about the world around them and how the forces of nature shape our lives.

Lessons are designed to challenge our students to think about the scientific world around them. They are taught to observe and think as scientists. The laboratory setting gives them the authentic feeling that they are working as scientists. Ultimately, our curriculum is designed to produce a student who appreciates the delicate balance between caring about the environment and the advancement of science and technology.
