Yellow School Bus: For Needham Residents
NOW OPEN: Yellow School Bus Registration for the 2023-2024 School Year
All Needham resident students, in Kindergarten through Grade 12, may register to ride the school bus, including students of Saint Joseph School.
The initial registration window will be Tuesday April 4th at 8:00am through Friday May 19th 11:59pm. The cost for the bus pass will remain at $415 per student with a family cap of $840. After Friday May 19th costs do increase and registration is filled on a first-come-first-serve basis, if available at all.
Some buses do fill quite quickly, so please register as quickly as you are able once the registration opens.
If you intend on riding the yellow school bus in Needham you MUST register each year, regardless of whether you qualify for free transportation. If you qualify for free transportation, you must still register using myschoolbucks. Upon registering, you will be required to input a form of payment regardless of whether you are fee based or qualify for free transportation. If you qualify for free transportation, it will appear to put a hold on your account for the full amount of your registration, however once Needham verifies that you qualify for free transportation and process the registration we will remove the hold and you will not be charged. Please note that this can take 24-72 hours when registration opens due to the volume of registrations Needham receives.
