Dear Grandparents and Special Guests,
I hope you enjoyed your recent visit to Saint Joseph School for our annual Grandparents and Grandfriends Day celebration. Thank you for taking time to visit with us and for being a cherished part of this momentous day! It was truly heartening to witness the tremendous turnout of family members and friends from far and wide, all united in their support for our students. It was clear to me that our students are blessed with many loving and supportive caregivers.
As Fr. Bryan expressed in his homily, the role of a grandparent is an indispensable element within any family, particularly in the formation of a young person. The wisdom, gained through your life experiences, which you share with your children and grandchildren, is essential to the development of a thriving family. I know that my journey as a young parent would have been exceedingly challenging without the unwavering support of my parents and in-laws. It truly takes a village to raise a child.
Today, I am humbly reaching out to ask for your continued support of our school. Catholic schools thrive when a strong and engaged community helps to bolster their resources. You can support our school through the gift of time, by volunteering in our building and sharing your wisdom with our students. A school like Saint Joe’s relies on the contributions of volunteers who can be found reading to students, helping with lunch, or monitoring recess. It takes a village to run a school too!
Another way grandparents can support our school is through our Grandparents’ Lend-A-Hand Campaign. Your generous contribution ensures that our facilities are well maintained, our teachers have the best resources available, and our students have access to a robust selection of programming. A gift made today will have a lasting impact for generations to come.
As you reflect on your recent visit, please consider a gift to Saint Joseph School. Your contribution will have an immediate impact, enabling Saint Joseph School to offer a preparatory education that not only emphasizes academic excellence but also nurtures faith and character. Thank you for joining us and helping instill the values we teach each day. With your invaluable support at home, I am confident that the future leaders of tomorrow will be prepared for any obstacles they may face.
God Bless,
Ian Snyder
