Saint Joseph School

Faith in action

Inspired by Christ’s call to serve others, our students learn to care for those in need, in our own community and beyond. Service is part of every grade, helping students build empathy, gratitude and leadership and a deeper understanding of Catholic social teaching.

Ways Our Students Serve

  • The annual Thanksgiving Food Drive
  • Collections and support for local food pantries
  • Projects supporting organizations that serve children and families in need
  • Student Council–led service projects tied to each month's virtue
  • Honoring local veterans at our annual Veterans Day Mass and celebration

Virtue Through Service

This year, each monthly virtue is paired with a service project led by our Student Council, so students practice what they're learning by serving others. See this year's virtues →

Growing as Leaders

As they move through the Upper School, students take on more ownership of their service through age-appropriate leadership roles and community engagement. By graduation, they understand that service isn't just an activity; it's a lifelong expression of faith and stewardship.

Each month, we share ideas with families for practicing the virtue through service or small activities together at home.
