PSA: New Family Welcome

Dear Saint Joe's New Student Families,

On behalf of the Saint Joseph School parents, we would like to extend a warm welcome as you start a new school experience.

As with any transition, there are always some unanswered questions. This summer a “guardian angel” will be contacting you to help answer some of these questions. These volunteers are the parents of children currently attending the school and they will be able to provide you with the valuable information you need.

In addition, the school has scheduled the below events to help ease the transition. All students in the Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten classes are invited to a orientation in the Early Childhood Building to allow your child an opportunity to meet his/her teacher and classmates before the first day of school. New students in grades 1-8* are also invited to attend an orientation where they will learn their way around the buildings, and meet students and teachers in their grade.

*All Grade 6 students, New students in grades 1-5 and 7-8

In addition, we hope you can join us for a New Parent Reception hosted by the Parent School Association (PSA) on Monday, August 28th at 7:00pm in the Lower School Cafeteria.

We suggest you start to familiarize yourself with the school website (www.saintjoes.com) where you will find the calendar, volunteer opportunities, uniform policy, and much more. Uniforms are available at Land’s End (www.landsend.com) and Donnelly’s (www.donnellysclothing.com).

If you have any immediate questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call us. Our goal is to make your family’s transition into our school a smooth and pleasant one. We are looking forward to you discovering what makes Saint Joseph School such a special place!

Sincerely,
Ali Mazza & Azi Griffin
